retro sandwich maker is back in fashion
The humble sandwich maker or’ toastie’ maker as we would call them, is experiencing a bit of a comeback in the recession. A survey by OnePoll has shown that instead of people buying ready meals their opting to make food at home. Around 85% said the sandwich maker was the most useful recession appliance, the breadmaker got 73% and the smoothie-maker got 70%, the survey also showed that those who didn’t own one were keen to buy one or get one as a present. So dust off your old breville or toastie maker and start experimenting with different fillings. My all time favourite was egg except it does make a a bit of a mess when you close the lid, left over bolognese was also a must.
